More often than not people seek out my services to commemorate a joyful occasion- a wedding, gala, anniversary, birthday, graduation, or award. It's often a significant milestone in someone's life and cause for great celebration. I find it an honor and thrill to contribute to the happy circumstance. By contrast, I am sometimes contacted for more somber occasions, such as the loss of a loved one. While those tend to be more difficult, I always feel honored to be trusted with such details. I treasure the real connections I make with real people in real life circumstances, whether joyful or sorrowful. My work enables me to answer Paul’s call in Romans 12:15 to “rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.” There is something uniquely human and sacred about that.
